I had high hopes for this guesthouse based on previous reviews and boy did they not disappoint! Heather and Ed were the most wonderful hosts, welcoming and warm and full of wonderful recommendations. We visited along with another couple whose trip to the Isle of Skye was cancelled due to bad weather. They were happy that it happened as they couldn’t have been more pleased with the stay. The rooms are enormous, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The location of the guesthouse is perfect. Close to Loch Rannoch with beautiful country views from the windows. Heather sent us on some gorgeous walks from their front door and my husband was thrilled to find a herd of Highland cows along the way. Dinner was delicious and we started our evening with drinks in the cozy sitting room. Breakfast which is included was a hearty, Scottish breakfast with everything and anything you might want. Our stay was the highlight of our 3 weeks in Scotland so far. Thank you Heather and Ed for such a warm welcome and wonderful accommodations! We loved every minute!

Used the guesthouse as a stop-over during my Badger Divide bikepacking trip in early May 2024: what a great place! Very warm welcome, Heather was an extremely helpful hostess, the accommodation was great and the meal was first class. Everyone was very accommodating to my need to leave quite early. Cannot recommend highly enough

Completely lovely! I rode my bike to the guesthouse and stayed one night. It was the perfect place to stay after a long day of cycling! Service was excellent, food was delicious. Heather and Ed helped me think through my next day’s route, too, and their local knowledge was terrifically helpful.

This guest house was truly the best part of our tour of the Highlands. Come here for comfort, warmth, and such a beautiful place. The hosts are so accommodating and wonderful, the food rivals all in the city, get the 3, course meal and they will make sure you're fed as well as at breakfast. It's all extremely authentic and wonderful. Thank you !

After a long day on the bike, Heather and Eddie's Guesthouse is just the right place. They gave us a memorable time in great surroundings and nice company. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic and we were even allowed to take provisions for the next bike stage. When we forgot our pocket knife at their place, they went out of their way to make sure we receive it before we fly back home. We will definitely come back and then stay a few days longer :-)

We dined here as non residents, so cannot comment on the guest accommodation. The welcome and service from Heather and Alison was exceptional. The food was excellent with a dairy allergy treated with enormous care and our dogs were also most welcome. Thank you so much for a perfect evening, we will be back next time we are here. Group cycling trip. Arrived to a warm welcome with bike storage and offers of storing wet shoes in the warm cupboard. Spotless rooms, good wifi and comfortable beds. Nice guest lounge to sit, chat and enjoy a few drinks. Three course meal was excellent. Breakfast the next day was done very well. The owners and staff really cared about making our stay a good experience and it showed. Everything very reasonably priced and overall great value for money. I can’t find a single fault with the place and would absolutely stay there again. Thanks very much and we will see you again!

We were fortunate to be able to have an evening meal here and it was excellent. Good homemade fayre, a superb Venison casserole from a local estate and most hospitable folk. Thank You.

I traveled in Scotland for 14 days, and stayed at many B&Bs. Bridge of Gaur Guesthouse was the best one. Owner Heather could not be any nicer, nor accommodating. The rooms are very spacious, water pressure fantastic, beds comfortable (two pillows per person!), everything was very clean as well, and the lounge area is complete with great books to learn about the local area, or greater Scotland. Bridge of Gaur is a perfect spot as well to be located for hiking the local area. Heather is so helpful, and offered great travel tips to us for our stay and beyond. Also I really recommend booking a dinner there- the venison stew is delicious, and dining there for dinner is a great end to a day spent hiking. Breakfast is perfect as well- full scottish or a nice bowl of porridge to start your day. Very much recommend Bridge of Gaur Guesthouse.

Lovely B&B. The owners Heather and Eddie were very friendly and accommodating. The room was a good size, clean, modern and tastefully decorated (with lovely views from the window). Dinner and breakfast were both very tasty. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area!

We were cycling from Tyndrum to Fort Augustus and asked for some water. Beside the water they served us sandwiches, hot coffee and some chocolatebars. Energy we needed. Thanks for your hospitality and kindness!

Honestly one of the best hotel experiences I've had. Wonderful food, great location, the friendliest and most helpful owners... What more could you ask for? In terms of accommodation this place was by far the highlight of our 3 week trip up north! Would love an excuse to return some day. Thanks again for hosting two very wet and cold cyclists at very short notice.

The Bridge of Gaur Guesthouse is first class in every way: friendly, welcoming and helpful staff; beautiful, comfortable and quiet rooms; and delicious food. Of particular importance just now are COVID safety precautions, and the hotel staff had thought of absolutely everything to keep guests safe, which was very much appreciated: they wore masks throughout our stay; they served food items separately between each guests so we did not share communal items; they had alcohol gel available everywhere; the room keys had been sterilised; there were very clear and helpful guidelines about what guests needed to do, (eg regarding linens and towels etc), both emailed in advance and also printed out in the bedrooms, which was excellent as nothing was left to chance. There COVID precautions were exemplary in fact, and are the best that my friend and I have seen in any hotel during our trip around Scotland, so I highly recommend it as a very safe place to stay. Thank you Heather and Eddie! :)

Heather and Eddie are the epitome of hospitality and service. Nothing was too much trouble. Absolutely fantastic rooms and location for GNT and Badgers Divide cycle routes. Our meals were off the scale good too. Just a sample of the menu below. The family provided plenty of entertainment for our group. Thank you so much. Please support this family in their endeavours. You will not be disappointed.

Perfect combination of small friendly BnB and private getaway. Heather and Edie are experts on the whole of the Highlands and so helpful and interesting! We loved the delicious dinners after a day enjoying the exquisite countryside, finished each evening with a quiet country walk, and awoke to the sound of birds...
